Self discipline is self love.

Self-discipline and self-love are two powerful forces that shape our lives, often in ways we don't fully comprehend. In my journey, I've discovered a fundamental truth that resonates deeply: the challenge of remaining true to who we really flipping are. It's easy to stray from our path, influenced by external teachings from religion, family, education, and literature. All those are dope and we learn from them, yet, there's an innate essence within us all, a core identity that, when embraced, fosters immense confidence and a sense of purpose.

For instance, in my struggle with addiction, I knew heroin wasn't part of my true path. Yet, each time I succumbed, I drifted further from my essence, plunging into a world of anxiety, depression, addiction, and shame. This conflict between actions and beliefs is known as cognitive dissonance – a state of being that contradicts who we're meant to be.

Today, my internal battles may not involve heroin, but they manifest as laziness, procrastination, and overconsumption. These struggles are deviations from my true self, leading to diminished motivation and a vulnerability to negative influences. Yet, the silver lining is my growing ability to realign with my core through self-discipline and self-love.

Self-discipline is not just about doing things we're reluctant to do; it's about making choices that benefit us in the long run. It's a rejection of instant gratification. True discipline is about following our personal ethos, our individual path – it's about being steadfast in who we are and who we're meant to be.

When we embrace self-discipline, we're not just adhering to a set of rules; we're expressing love for ourselves, for who we are at our core.

In essence, both self-discipline and self-love are about embracing our true selves. They're about making choices that align with our deepest values and beliefs, even when it's difficult. And in doing so, we don't just find success or happiness; we find authenticity and a profound sense of confidence in being exactly who we are meant to be. One love, my higher power who I call God is dope and be the best version of yourself today.
